Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 12 July 2026. Firzar is committed to making our website accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.

1. Our Commitment

We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the US and the European Accessibility Act (EAA) in the EU/UK.

2. What We've Done

  • Semantic HTML: Pages use proper heading structures, landmarks, and ARIA roles.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (buttons, links, forms, dropdowns) are operable via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Escape).
  • Screen reader support: Icon-only buttons include descriptive aria-label attributes. Status changes are announced via aria-live regions.
  • Colour contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Resizable text: The site supports browser zoom up to 200% without layout breakage.
  • Reduced motion: Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion CSS media query.
  • Focus indicators: Focused elements show visible focus outlines.
  • Language attribute: The <html lang> attribute is set correctly for screen readers.

3. Map Accessibility

Our interactive maps use a third-party rendering library. We provide text-based alternatives (country lists, tables) alongside maps so users who cannot interact with the map can still access all information.

4. Known Limitations

  • The interactive globe/map may not be fully operable via keyboard for all features. We provide list and table views as alternatives.
  • Some third-party embedded content (affiliate partner widgets) may not meet our accessibility standards. We are working with partners to improve this.

5. Reporting Accessibility Issues

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us at accessibility@firzar.com. Include the URL and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
